Income Generating Activities

Genesis CDA’s livelihood work — restoring water and putting land to work so families and programmes can thrive.

Who we are

Income that sustains community work

Water first — then land that feeds families and funds community work.

Income-generating activities at Genesis CDA are built around practical assets we can steward for the long term: rehabilitating borehole capacity so water is dependable, and putting that water to work on our 6.3 acres of farmland.

On that land we grow food and income — crops and harvests that strengthen household resilience and create a home-grown base of support for Genesis CDA’s wider mission. When the borehole runs and the fields produce, programmes do not have to wait on distant funding alone.

This department sits alongside Education and Wasya Wa Mwaitu as the productive engine: restoring water infrastructure, farming with purpose, and turning soil and harvest into lasting community strength in Nguutani and beyond.
